About Tracy

Tracy began her yoga practice in 2007 after spontaneously attending a hot yoga class with a friend. She never thought she would be immediately hooked since she did not enjoy physical exercise nor had she given much thought to spirituality. As her practice developed, Tracy was inspired by her teachers to become certified to teach yoga.

Like many of her life decisions, she contemplated the idea for a long time wondering if she could balance working as an elementary school teacher and enrolling in a 200-hour teacher training program. Tracy knew the timing was right when one of her favorite teachers announced a 200-hour TT in 2010. Tracy enrolled in Jacqui Bonwell’s 200-hour teacher training at Greener Postures in South Portland, Maine.

Soon after graduation, Tracy started teaching 2 classes a week while enrolling in yoga and meditation workshops. She participated in a “Beyond Teaching Yoga Mentorship” program with Kevan Gale at Stil Studio; where she enrolled in her 300-hour RYT 2015. This training left her with a deeper understanding of the spiritual side of yoga, as well as personal daily meditation practice. In 2016, Tracy completed Andrew Kelley’s Meditation for Everyone Teacher Training.

Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of faith.

During the summer of 2016 Tracy transitioned from her role as a 4th grade classroom teacher to a full time yoga and meditation teacher.

Tracy teaches public and private yoga and meditation classes to adults and children in the greater Boston area. She also leads workshops for classroom teachers and other school-based professionals on mindfulness and yoga in the classroom.

Additionally, Tracy has participated on panels and lead workshops on bringing mindfulness into the classroom for Kripalu, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, and EDCO Collaborative. Tracy’s yoga classes in and around Boston, MA are a fun physical practice infused with a sense of calming energy. She mindfully instructs her students through sequences, while offering them the space to listen to their bodies and move with intention.

When not teaching or practicing yoga, Tracy can be found spending time with her five nieces and nephews, walking along the Charles River, or relaxing on the beach.
