January Morning Retreat

Set aside a Saturday morning in early January for yourself. We’ll spend the morning moving, breathing, reflecting, and sharing with one another. This session is open to classroom teachers and school-based professionals at all levels. Class will be held virtually.

Our session will begin with an hour-long flow yoga class, followed by a guided meditation that will frame the rest of our time together. We’ll take a quick break and then gather back together to listen and learn from one another. Participants will be introduced to the basic principles of mindfulness and some simple techniques that teachers can use with their students and for their own practice. We’ll discuss self-compassion: what it is, why it’s important, and how you can begin to cultivate it. Opportunities for written and creative expression will be provided, as well as time to reflect independently and with others.
